Aria is a stunning, wire-haired Galga Espanol, with an estimated birthdate of August 2013. She bonds closely with her trusted human(s) and becomes rather affectionate and velcroish, though does not exhibit signs of SA. Aria is smart and generally calm, though tender/sensitive. Once settled, she learned “sit” and “foot please” easily. Aria is housetrained and is not a chewer nor destructive. She is good on leash generally but is afraid of cars (we’re working on this). Aria can jump quite high and she is very fast. A minimum six foot high fence with no climbable parts or items nearby is required for her. Aria may be placed within 3 hours driving distance of Gearhart, Oregon, for the right home. __________________________ ABOUT OTHER DOGS __________________________
Other dogs potentially available include:
Getty: Male Borzoi, apx 4 years old. Sweet, loves his humans, likes his cats bite sized. (IOW, no cats. No small furries of any kind.)
Supra: Male Ibizan hound/Podenco Ibicenco, apx 6 years old. Special physical needs. Rehabilitated for fears though there will always be remnants of fear for a dog that has been through what Supra survived.
Sometimes dogs are not actively advertised for adoption because they are in various stages of rehabilitation (for fear, anxiety, re-socialization, etc.). The ability to exist comfortably in the world, without panic or fear, without force, pain, or various forms of coercion, is crucial before a dog is homed, in our opinion, for the welfare of the dog as well as the happiness of the humans involved. When reasonable success in that regard, which is what we mean by rehabilitation, seems accomplished in a given dog, that dog will be added here or suitable applicants will be considered. There may be times when such a dog is placed with a waiting, already approved applicant instead of being re-posted on this page.
